At Earthjustice Action, we firmly believe no one is above the law. Earthjustice Action plays a vital role in placing our courts at the forefront of environmental politics. There are 870 judgeships across the federal judicial system, and we advocate tirelessly for the confirmation of federal judges who recognize the government's responsibility to safeguard the environment, public health, and public lands for every individual. 

But our work doesn’t stop at the federal level. State courts — in particular, state supreme courts — play a huge and often-overlooked role in determining the strength of our environmental protections. Therefore, we are dedicated to educating and engaging voters on the importance of federal and state judges who uphold laws that protect the environment and public well-being.
