Stop Congress from attacking state clean air protections!

What's At Stake

Republicans in Congress want to abuse the power of the little-known Congressional Review Act to repeal six longstanding waivers that help states reduce air pollution, sacrificing our health to benefit Big Oil. Allowed under the Clean Air Act, these protective standards help: 

-Cut pollution for anything from ferries and cars, to lawn and garden equipment
–Make our cars cleaner, helping save consumers money on fuel and decreasing air pollution
–Improve air quality for communities near ports by limiting pollution for docked ships and transitioning more marine vessels to zero-emission
–Decrease the risk of illness caused by air pollution, particularly for sensitive groups like children and the elderly 

By repealing these protections, Congress would threaten our air quality and put our health at risk — all to benefit the oil industry. Write to your members of Congress today and tell them you oppose repealing these six crucial clean air waivers.
