Earthjustice Action Slams Senate Judiciary for Advancing Todd Blanche

Washington, D.C. – Earthjustice Action issued the following statement after the Senate Judiciary Committee’s vote advancing Todd Blanche’s nomination for U.S. Attorney General to the full Senate.

Statement from Sam Sankar, Senior Vice President, Earthjustice Action:

“Today, Republicans on the Judiciary Committee put President Trump’s interests over those of the country by advancing Todd Blanche’s nomination. The Attorney General is supposed to serve the people of this nation. Todd Blanche only serves Donald Trump. He’s not fit for any job at the Justice Department, let alone the job of Attorney General.

We call on the full Senate to reject Todd Blanche as Attorney General.”

Earlier this month, Earthjustice Action joined the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and 45 other organizations in a letter urging Senate Judiciary Committee leadership to reject Todd Blanche’s nomination as U.S. Attorney General.
