WASHINGTON, DC—Earthjustice Action Vice President of Policy and Legislation Raúl García issued the following statement after President Biden’s announcement that he will step down as the Democratic Party’s Presidential Nominee: 

“President Biden is one of the most consequential presidents in history and leaves an incredible legacy of environmental justice and climate action. From the passage of the largest climate bill in history and historic investments in frontline communities, to the strengthening of life-saving pollution standards, to the confirmation of over 200 judges to help reverse some of the Trump Administration’s worst impacts on the federal judiciary, it’s hard to overstate the magnitude of his influence. As we look forward, the work cannot stop here. We must continue building on the environmental legacy of the Biden-Harris Administration, drive more investments in climate action and environmental justice to the communities that need them most, and continue the important work of rebalancing our courts. We thank President Biden for being the champion we needed at this critical moment.”
