Energy bills are on the rise, thanks in large part to the Trump administration’s continued reliance on dirty, expensive fossil fuels. The administration has spent the last 14 months canceling clean energy projects — projects that would drive down costs for consumers while helping us tackle climate change. We can’t let Trump’s insistence on promoting dirty, expensive fossil fuels drive up our cost of living and put our communities in danger.Â
Thankfully, a new bill introduced by Reps. Sean Casten (D-Ill.) and Mike Levin (D-Calif.) addresses that problem. The Energy Bills Relief Act (EBRA) would both lower energy costs and help us tackle climate change — we need your help encouraging members of Congress to support it.Â
EBRA reverses the Trump administration’s attacks on clean energy, improves and better connects our electricity grid, and protects consumers from extreme rate hikes. It’s a tangible, commonsense solution that benefits our climate, our economy, and our wallets. Send a letter encouraging your member of Congress to support EBRA.
