Fight the Confirmation of Four Anti-environmental Judges

What's At Stake

When nominating people to serve as federal judges, President Trump has made one thing clear: He values loyalty to his personal agenda over one’s qualifications to be a judge. His nominees so far have, for the most part, shown strong ties to partisan organizations and big industry, as well as a lack of an ability to make decisions based on facts, not politics. 

Now, four more dangerous nominees will soon face final confirmation votes, and we need your help to stop them. Joshua Dunlap, William Mercer, Chad Meredith, and Eric Tung should not serve on the federal bench. Send a letter to your senators today and let them know you are strongly opposed to their confirmation. 

-Joshua Dunlap has a history of representing energy interests, including helping a corporation challenge Indigenous reservation rights.
–William Mercer has also routinely represented industry interests — particularly fossil fuel and mining industries — as they seek to undermine pro-environmental permits and regulations.
-Chad Meredith defended a coal company against a rule by the Environmental Protection Agency that would have required the company to test groundwater for contamination.
-Eric Tung has consistently argued against the government imposing environmental regulations, going against well-established scientific facts about climate change and its effects. 

In a time where President Trump and his allies in Congress are working tirelessly to undermine our environmental protections and basic principles of judicial independence, we need federal judges who will strengthen the lines between the executive and judicial branches, not blur them.
